Profile
Although originally from Michigan, Jarrad has spent the majority of his life as a transplant in Oregon, attending Oregon State University for undergrad where he studied Exercise & Sport Science. After a short stint as a hospital scribe, Jarrad joined Orthopedic + Fracture Specialists as a Medical Assistant, working with all of the subspecialty teams. He later became a clinical supervisor, leading the back office team before heading off to PA school in Cleveland. Despite the well-renowned healthcare presence in northeast Ohio, Jarrad always knew that he wanted to return home to the Pacific Northwest. Combining his education in human biomechanics and passion for medicine, orthopedics was the natural intersection for his practice as a Physician Associate.
Jarrad believes it is imperative to listen to patients as they often know their own bodies the best. From there, he strives to have a dialogue and work collaboratively with patients to engineer the best treatment plan for them.
Outside the clinic, Jarrad can be found playing sand volleyball, strategy board games with friends, and fetch with his chocolate lab, Brooks. As self-identifying “foodies”, he and his wife enjoy exploring the bountiful Portland-area food scene for new restaurants.
