Clay Carnahan, PA-C
Family comes first for Clay Carnahan, which is what ultimately led him to become a physician assistant. “After I met my wife, I wanted to settle down and have a family a little earlier than pursuing the surgical route would have allowed,” he says. But his desire to enter the orthopedic world was never in question. “I knew I was going into orthopedics from the time I had my first sports injury as a youngster in Bend, Oregon.”

Today, Clay works primarily with Orthopedic + Fracture’s Joint Replacement Specialists. “This clinic is unique in that we have excellent surgeons in all the orthopedic subspecialties. They serve as a resource when we need to think out of the box.”
Whether you meet Clay in the surgical suite, in the clinic, or in the hospital you will feel respected and listened to. His goal as a PA is to help provide exceptional care and thoroughness throughout treatment and beyond.
An active outdoor enthusiast, Clay enjoys hunting, fishing, the snow sports, running, and cycling. But he also enjoys something far more demanding-- “My wife and I have two young children that provide us with enough activity to last a lifetime.”
