Growing up in Oregon, Maddison (Maddy) Souza pursued her undergraduate degree at Oregon State University in Animal Sciences which led her to work as a veterinarian assistant. It didn’t take her long to realize that she preferred working with people instead of pets, so she quickly switched gears and joined Orthopedic + Fracture Specialists’ front office team. She later became a medical assistant where she worked primarily with the joint replacement physicians and found that she quite enjoyed this line of medicine and interacting with patients throughout their orthopedic journey. She then moved across the country to attend PA school in Massachusetts, but always knew that she wanted to come back home to Oregon, and specifically, back to Orthopedic + Fracture Specialists. She is thrilled to be part of the team once again and serve patients from the other side of the desk!
Outside of work, Maddy enjoys watching sports, exploring the outdoors, game nights with friends, and spending time with her husband, her cat, Theo, and dog, Wrigley (go Cubs!).
